Giant Squid

Not many people know this, but there is a giant squid, the ever-elusive Architeuthis, that lives off the shores of Coney Island and Brighton Beach. Jonathan is quite convinced he's wrestled with it at least a few times on his way back to Grimaldo's chair from the CI pier. He submitted one of his sketches in a feeble attempt to convince the rest of us, who remain suspicious.

A fisherman in Tasmania netted a small one (15m) back in 1997. Here's a CNN article about it.
